An Ace asking Agreement for Minors

Minorwood
The 4NT Blackwood convention in all of it's many forms is not suitable for minor suit contacts.  The problem is that an asking bid that starts with 4NT means that any response except 5 almost always commits the partnership to a slam contract even when there may not be sufficient controls.

A low-level Blackwood such as the 3NT Baby Blackwwod cannot be used for minors either, as 3NT is often is to play.

Most players prefer to use Keycard Gerber with Criss-Cross when the trump suit is deemed to ba a minor, but the method described here works equally well.

Minorwood
The Minorwood method uses a 4-level bid of the agreed minor for the RKCB ask

This convention is used when the partnership has agreed that a minor suit will be trumps.  If the opponents have not bid, then 4 is Minorwood for clubs and 4 is Minorwood for diamonds.  After the asking bid is made you can use either 0314 or the 1430 responses.
