Roman Gerber
As in regular Gerber, a bid of 4
after an agreement on a notrump contract is an asking bid.
If you like the step bids used in Roman Keycard Blackwood, you will probably like to use this. This an an
adaptation of the Gerber 4 asking bid with responses similar to RKCB.
(I think there are three other teams somewhere in Kansas that also use this convention.)
4 | 0 or 3 aces |
4 | 1 or 4 aces |
4 | 2 aces with nothing extra |
| 5N | 2 aces with extra values |
After responder's answer to the 4
asking bid, the asking partner can then bid the cheapest
suit available to ask for Kings. The step responses to the King-ask bid are the same.
